Aluminum Welder/Fitter

Greater Sudbury, ON | Job Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a skilled Aluminum Welder/Fitter to join our team. If you have experience in aluminum welding, fitting, and working with high-quality materials, we want to hear from you.

  • Interpret drawings, work orders, and welding processes
  • Perform welding and fitting operations with precision
  • Utilize mathematical and layout skills to ensure accuracy
  • Operate shop tools such as drills, disc grinders, and hand tools
  • Lift materials weighing between 20-50 lbs
  • Maintain safety protocols and workplace compliance
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure specifications are met
  • Be available for overtime when required
  • Experience in aluminum welding (TIG/MIG)
  • Fitting experience in metal fabrication
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to travel for warranty repairs when needed
  • Own tools considered an asset

Marine Engineer /
Naval Architect

Location:
Greater Sudbury, ON | Job Type: Full-Time

Marine engineers and naval architects are responsible for designing, developing, and evaluating the operation of marine vessels and their associated systems. They focus on ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable performance of ships, boats, and offshore structures, including the design and optimization of key systems such as propulsion, power supply, and essential machinery. Additionally, they may work on offshore projects like oil rigs and wind turbines, as well as coastal structures, including ports and seawalls, contributing to the advancement of both marine and offshore infrastructure.

  • Study design proposals and specifications to establish basic characteristics of a marine vessel, such as its size, weight, and speed
  • Design ship hulls and superstructures, following standards for safety, efficiency and economy
  • Prepare system layouts and detailed drawings and schematics
  • Design and oversee the building and testing of prototypes and the installation and repair of marine equipment
  • Conduct environmental, operational, or performance tests on marine machinery and equipment
  • Prepare cost estimates, contract specifications, and design and construction schedules
  • Coordinate activities with regulatory bodies to ensure that repairs and alterations are done safely and at minimal cost
  • Prepare technical reports for use by engineers, managers, or sales personnel
  • Working in a physically demanding, outdoor, and potentially high-pressure environment
  • Willing to work overtime, in the evening, weekends and travel.
  • Driving truck/boat to various lakes, marinas, and events.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Completion of a recognized marine mechanics engineering naval architecture, or a related field.
  • Valid G class driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Valid Boating license: experience in towing and launching boats.
  • Knowledge of maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of outboard motors and inboard engines.
  • Expertise in diagnosing and fixing issues with boat mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic systems and their maintenance and repair.
  • Understanding of fuel systems, including installation and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting boat electronics.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and parts lists for ordering parts.
  • Strong awareness of safety procedures and regulations while performing work on boats.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and maintenance history.
