You’re in the heart of northern Ontario, navigating the rugged waterways that so many only dream of exploring. This was the vision behind BadRiverBoats—a vision that began not in a boardroom, but on the very waters that inspired its creation.
Back in 2020, the Patrick Group of Companies, including Patrick Mechanical, found themselves with a challenging job ahead—transporting heavy materials and workers to remote dam sites for essential repairs. The challenge? There simply wasn’t a boat on the market that could meet our needs. Time was ticking, and we knew we needed something tough, reliable, and up to the task.
That’s when one of our founders, out for a fishing trip with friends on the north shore of Georgian Bay, had a lightbulb moment. As they navigated the fast currents of the “Bad River,” it became clear: we needed a boat that could do it all. Not just a workhorse for heavy loads but also a safe, sturdy vessel for family outings in the untamed beauty of northern Ontario.
And so, BadRiverBoats was born—a boat built out of necessity but designed for adventure.
Marc was managing a challenging project that required hauling over 4,000 pounds of materials to a remote location. He needed something he could count on—something that wouldn’t let him down when the going got tough. That’s when he turned to a custom-made BadRiverBoat.
