This was the vision behind BadRiverBoats, a vision that began not in a boardroom, but on the very waters that inspired its creation.
Back in 2020, the Patrick Group of Companies, including Patrick Mechanical Ltd., found themselves with a challenging job ahead: transporting heavy materials and workers to remote dam sites for essential repairs. The challenge? There simply wasn’t a boat on the market that could meet our needs. Time was ticking, and we knew we needed a vessel tough, reliable, and up to the task.
That’s when one of our founders, out for a fishing trip with friends on the north shore of Georgian Bay, had a lightbulb moment. As they navigated the fast currents of the “Bad River,” it became clear: we needed a boat that could do it all. Not just a workhorse for heavy loads but also a safe, sturdy vessel for family outings in the untamed beauty of northern Ontario.
And so, BadRiverBoats was born, a boat brand built out of necessity and ready for adventure.
