BadRiverBoats: Celebrating STEM with VEX Robotics

In January 2024, Cambrian College made history by hosting its first-ever VEX Robotics Competition. For us at BadRiverBoats, the event was more than a competition, it was a glimpse into the future of innovation.

As part of our commitment to fostering talent, BadRiverBoats hosted Cambrian College students for an open house in May 2024. This event connected us with exceptional individuals like Nicholas Richards, a recent Welding Program graduate, and Skander Nasr, a Mechanical Technologist with a passion for marine design and problem-solving.

Today, Skander plays a pivotal role in our operations, contributing to innovative designs and mentoring young talent. Nicholas, on the other hand, celebrates the milestone of completing his first boat, a testament to his hard work and dedication.

Their journeys illustrate how initiatives like VEX Robotics and partnerships with educational institutions can transform futures.

The second annual VEX Robotics Competition is around the corner, and we’re excited to support this transformative event once again. At BadRiverBoats, we believe in the power of education and industry partnerships to build a brighter, innovative future.

Are you ready to see what’s next? Join us in celebrating innovation this January!
