Back in 2020, the Patrick Group of Companies, including Patrick Mechanical, found themselves with a challenging job ahead—transporting heavy materials and workers to remote dam sites for essential repairs. The challenge? There simply wasn't a boat on the market that could meet our needs. Time was ticking, and we knew we needed something tough, reliable, and up to the task.

That’s when one of our founders, out for a fishing trip with friends on the north shore of Georgian Bay, had a lightbulb moment. As they navigated the fast currents of the "Bad River," it became clear: we needed a boat that could do it all. Not just a workhorse for heavy loads but also a safe, sturdy vessel for family outings in the untamed beauty of northern Ontario.

And so, BadRiverBoats was born—a boat built out of necessity but designed for adventure.
